Arke Creative recently completed our new office fit out. We must say, we are extremely happy with the end result, which fully reflects the design that we envisaged. Due to COVID-19, it has been a challenging time to complete such a project, and we have been grateful for the flexibility that Anthony and his team have shown in working around all COVID-19 related issues.
Ben Marsh, Head of Corporate Development
The project for Hoist Finance was Arke’s first project following the 2020 pandemic lockdown, and was successfully completed throughout the period. Our design brief was simple; take inspiration from Hoist’s Stockholm Headquarters as a base, then enhance it to create a unique feel for the London.
The client wanted to future proof the office through the growth of the business without losing meeting room space, whilst still retaining a connection to the other business’s locations. The building on Old Bond Street has a unique split-level layout. The Arke team creatively utilised all potential space, which after careful planning, emerged an open flowing space between three zones including client areas, workspace and café area.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, working practices had to be restructured to ensure the safety of every member of the project team and comply with Construction Council’s and HSE (Health & Safety Executive’s) guidelines. New logistic plans were drawn up allowing for; hand sanitisation stations and a one way system for onsite working. Temperature tests were carried out each morning and a report compiled for the Construction Director’s review. Design meetings and project update meetings took to Zoom to ensure the client was continually appraised of progress and changes. Even with the new working arrangements and delayed material lead times, Arke were able to complete the project in 6 weeks to a resounding success much to our clients delight.
